2020 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 2020In this paper, a systematic procedure to reduce mutual coupling between linear $2 \times 1$ array microstrip antennas is proposed. The proposed design procedure is based on pixelization of the surface between two patch elements and the application of a binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) algorithm.

Reduction of mutual coupling by near-field coupled resonators
2009 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Communications, Antennas and Electronics Systems, 2009A method for reduction of undesirable coupling between two antennas by means of a small resonant element is proposed. The parasitic resonant element is strongly excited by the aggressor antenna radiation and produces a cancellation effect at the victim antenna. This effect is achieved mainly due to the near field of the resonant circuit.
