Eigenvalue Based Mutual Coupling Reduction

2019 IEEE 89th Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2019-Spring), 2019
This work introduces a novel decoupling technique which employs the theory of coupled characteristic modes for a two element microstrip array. The key idea is to optimize the shape of the decoupling structure using the eigenvalues of the coupled array which can be computed with no prior knowledge of the excitation arrangement.

Mutual coupling reduction on MIMO antenna

2016 International Conference on Emerging Technological Trends (ICETT), 2016
This paper presents the design of a small and compact size dual band Microstrip line feed slot antenna and their 2×2 MIMO implementation for WLAN, Bluetooth, and WiMAX applications. The proposed slot antenna consist of a rectangular slot on the ground plane and a pair of U-shaped strips which are embedded symmetrically along the center line of the ...

A Pixelated Resonator for Mutual Coupling Reduction

2020 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and North American Radio Science Meeting, 2020
In this paper, a systematic procedure to reduce mutual coupling between linear $2 \times 1$ array microstrip antennas is proposed. The proposed design procedure is based on pixelization of the surface between two patch elements and the application of a binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) algorithm.

Reduction of mutual coupling by near-field coupled resonators

2009 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Communications, Antennas and Electronics Systems, 2009
A method for reduction of undesirable coupling between two antennas by means of a small resonant element is proposed. The parasitic resonant element is strongly excited by the aggressor antenna radiation and produces a cancellation effect at the victim antenna. This effect is achieved mainly due to the near field of the resonant circuit.

Mutual coupling reduction of multiple antenna systems

Frontiers of Information Technology & Electronic Engineering, 2020
A multi-band multi-antenna system has become an important trend in the development of mobile communication systems. However, strong mutual coupling tends to occur between antenna elements with a small space, distorting array antennas’ performance.

Mutual coupling reduction using coupling matrix based band stop filter

AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2020
Abstract The capability of the coupling matrix-based band stop filter in mutual coupling reduction between the MIMO arrays is presented. Initially, a microstrip band-stop filter with 3 GHz center frequency is designed using coupling matrix method. This filter structure is then placed between 2×1 radiating patches separated by 0.22 λ in a reference ...
