Reduction of Mutual Coupling for Vivaldi Antennas
2018 International Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society Symposium - China (ACES), 2018Mutual coupling between antennas is a widespread problem that may affect the performance of wireless systems. This work tries to solve such a problem for Vivaldi antennas. A method based on characteristic mode analysis (CMA) is used to analyze and reduce mutual coupling between Vivaldi antennas without changing the impedance bandwidth.

Mutual coupling reduction on MIMO antenna
2016 International Conference on Emerging Technological Trends (ICETT), 2016This paper presents the design of a small and compact size dual band Microstrip line feed slot antenna and their 2×2 MIMO implementation for WLAN, Bluetooth, and WiMAX applications. The proposed slot antenna consist of a rectangular slot on the ground plane and a pair of U-shaped strips which are embedded symmetrically along the center line of the ...

Reduction of mutual coupling by near-field coupled resonators
2009 IEEE International Conference on Microwaves, Communications, Antennas and Electronics Systems, 2009A method for reduction of undesirable coupling between two antennas by means of a small resonant element is proposed. The parasitic resonant element is strongly excited by the aggressor antenna radiation and produces a cancellation effect at the victim antenna. This effect is achieved mainly due to the near field of the resonant circuit.

Slot-Based Mutual Coupling Reduction Technique for MIMO Antenna
SN Computer Science, 2021This paper reports the results of a two-element MIMO (Multiple input multiple output) antenna with a mutual coupling reduction technique based on slots. The proposed antenna resonates over the frequency band from 3.9 GHz to 8.25 GHz. The gain of the antenna varies from 0.6 dBi to 4 dBi and is suitable for C band applications.

A review on Mutual Coupling Reduction Methods for Antenna Arrays
Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Big Data and Internet of Things, 2019In telecommunications domain, device components miniaturization is a major need. In case of the antenna array structures, reducing the overall size of the antenna leads engineers to place them closer to each other. In this case some undesirable electromagnetic phenomena can occur such as antennas interferences in the near field and surface wave ...

Novel DGS shape for mutual coupling reduction
2016 German Microwave Conference (GeMiC), 2016This paper presents a MIMO antenna system configuration. The paper is devoted to minimize the mutual coupling between antennas fed from different ports with the use of DGS structures. The paper discusses the system with and without introducing a novel DGS shape. The antennas are operating at 5GHz (Wi-Fi application).

Mutual coupling reduction in patch antenna arrays
2018 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference (IVEC), 2018In this paper, meander line (ML) as a parasitic configuration is introduced to reduce the mutual coupling (MC) between two microstrip patch antenna elements. Inserting a slot in the middle of ground plane is a simple method to reduce the MC, by adding the ML in the proper position in the slot can further reduce the MC.

Mutual Coupling Reduction by Pixelated Resonator Structure
2019 IEEE Indian Conference on Antennas and Propogation (InCAP), 2019In this paper, a systematic procedure to reduce mutual coupling between linear 2×1 array microstrip antennas is proposed. The proposed design procedure is based on pixelization of the surface between two patch elements and application of a binary particle swarm optimization (BPSO) algorithm.

Mutual coupling reduction using coupling matrix based band stop filter
AEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2020Abstract The capability of the coupling matrix-based band stop filter in mutual coupling reduction between the MIMO arrays is presented. Initially, a microstrip band-stop filter with 3 GHz center frequency is designed using coupling matrix method. This filter structure is then placed between 2×1 radiating patches separated by 0.22 λ in a reference ...
