Circulating Myokine Responses to Acute Endurance Exercise and Their Role in Immunoregulation: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
This systematic review and meta‐analysis, which examined the effects of acute endurance training on immunoregulatory myokines, showed significant small‐moderate to very large positive effect sizes for IL‐6, IL‐10, IL‐1ra, IL‐8, IL‐15, and TNF‐α. These effects were significantly moderated by risk of bias, sex, age, V̇O2peak, experience, type of exercise,

Tailored Xenogeneic‐Free Polymer Surface Promotes Dynamic Migration of Intestinal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 8, 6 February 2026.
This study introduces a PoLymer‐coated Ultra‐stable Surface (PLUS), a nitrogen plasma‐treated poly(ethyleneglycoldimethacrylate), as a stable xenogeneic‐free platform for intestinal stem cell culture. PLUS enhances cell attachment, supports actin‐driven migration, and retains functionality after 3 years of storage. Promoting cytoskeletal reorganization,

Glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency is associated with improved survival in patients with acute myeloid leukemia treated with venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesCancer, Volume 132, Issue 3, 1 February 2026.
Abstract Background Glucose‐6‐phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency impairs cellular redox balance through reduced NADPH production and is the most common enzymatic disorder‐causing anemia. Venetoclax combined with azacitidine (Ven‐Aza) targets leukemic stem cells by disrupting oxidative phosphorylation and inducing mitochondrial stress. This study

Forecasting Electricity Peak Load: Time‐Series Modeling Integrating Economic and Demographic Dynamics—A Case Study From Jordan

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 2, Page 1022-1035, February 2026.
Forecasts peak electricity demand in Jordan for grid expansion over the next decade. Introduces a comparative method combining ARIMA, ARIMA‐X, and regression models. Projections show a 41% peak load increase by 2035, reaching around 5300 MW. The findings support capacity planning, pricing strategies, and network expansion.
