Interactions between Mycorrhizal Fungi, Tea Wastes, and Algal Biomass Affecting the Microbial Community, Soil Structure, and Alleviating of Salinity Stress in Corn Yield (Zea mays L.)

open access: yesPlants, 2018
Soil salinity has an adverse impact on soil biological properties and growth of corn plant, majorly in arid and semi-arid lands. A mesocosm experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of mycorrhizal fungi (M) (Glomus mosseae), tea wastes (T ...

ParaHox Genes Revisited: From Gut Patterning to Integrated Axial and Neural Organization in Rotifera

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Zoology Part B: Molecular and Developmental Evolution, Volume 346, Issue 4, Page 357-369, June 2026.
In rotifers, ParaHox genes show a dispersed genomic organization, with Xlox absent across gnathiferans. Exclusive neuronal expression of Gsx and Cdx reveals that ancestral ParaHox genes coordinated neural and epithelial development beyond gut patterning, suggesting an integrated role in early bilaterian body plan organization.

Short‐Term Response of Soil Health Indicators to Cover Crop Management in Small‐Scale Vegetable Cropping Systems

open access: yesJournal of Sustainable Agriculture and Environment, Volume 5, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT A 2‐year field experiment (2022–2023) was conducted on a clay loam soil in Quebec, Canada, to evaluate the short‐term effect of spring‐seeded cover crop termination methods on soil health indicators. A mixture of field peas (Pisum sativum L.) with oats (Avena sativa L.) in 2022 and with faba beans (Vicia faba L.) in 2023 was seeded in early ...

Gastrointestinal parasites infestation in military working dogs/ K9 in Al Muthanna Governorate in compare to semi housed dogs [PDF]

open access: yesMirror of Research in Veterinary Sciences and Animals, 2019
Protection and safety tasks of any country are best achieved with the help of military working dogs (MWDs/ K9). Recently, MWD/ K9 have extensively used in Iraq to help the reinforce security and investigate the explosive devices.

Physics‐Informed Bayesian Optimisation of Utility‐Scale Wind Farms in Synthetically Generated Complex Terrain Using LES

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Optimising turbine layouts to maximise power output is crucial for wind farm development, particularly in complex terrain where analytical wake models fail to capture key flow physics. We present the first application of Bayesian optimisation (BO) combined with large eddy simulations (LES) for utility‐scale wind farm layout optimisation in ...

Impact of Seasonal Meteorological Variability on Malaria Incidence in Côte d'Ivoire: A Retrospective Study (2021–2023)

open access: yesGeoHealth, Volume 10, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Metrological variations strongly influence malaria transmission by affecting mosquito breeding and survival. Côte d'Ivoire, located within a tropical climate zone, is particularly vulnerable to metrological variations that can alter disease patterns.
