Contagious caprine pleuropneumonia and other pulmonary mycoplasmoses of sheep and goats

Revue Scientifique et Technique de l'OIE, 1996
Contagious caprine pleuropneumonia (CCPP) is now a well-defined disease that is caused by Mycoplasma capricolum subsp. capripneumoniae. CCPP is infectious, contagious and fulfils the classic Koch postulates that characterise such types of disease. The distribution of the disease is not exactly known, but reports of mycoplasma isolation and official ...

Swine mycoplasmoses.

Revue scientifique et technique (International Office of Epizootics), 1998
Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae is the primary agent of enzootic pneumonia in pigs. The lung lesions, generally observed in young pigs, are characterised by a hyperplasia of the epithelial cells and an increased perivascular and peribronchiolar accumulation of mononuclear cells. Following M.

Small ruminant mycoplasmoses with particular reference to the Middle East.

CABI Reviews, 2006

Mycoplasmoses in poultry.

Revue scientifique et technique (International Office of Epizootics), 1998
The most important mycoplasmas isolated from domestic avian species include Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG), M. synoviae (MS), M. meleagridis (MM) and M. iowae (MI). MG causes chronic respiratory disease of chickens and infectious sinusitis in turkeys, resulting in economic losses. MS causes infectious synovitis or mild upper respiratory disease.

Overview of mycoplasmoses in sheep and goats.

Israel journal of medical sciences, 1985
Over the past few years the role of Mycoplasma F38 in contagious caprine pleuropneumonia has been confirmed in Sudan as well as in Kenya, and further disease outbreaks involving the subspecies of M. mycoides have also occurred in goats. Recent work on the epidemiology of some of the mycoplasmoses of goats has established that feeding of contaminated ...

Control of avian mycoplasmoses by vaccination.

Revue scientifique et technique (International Office of Epizootics), 1998
Vaccination is an option for controlling Mycoplasma gallisepticum or M. synoviae when biosecurity measures fail to prevent the infection of poultry flocks with these mycoplasmas. Both killed vaccines (bacterins) and living vaccines are currently in commercial use.

Epidémiologie moléculaire : les mycoplasmoses caprines

2007
