Heat shock proteins in multiple myeloma [PDF]
Heat shock proteins are molecular chaperones with a central role in protein folding and cellular protein homeostasis. They also play major roles in the development of cancer and in recent years have emerged as promising therapeutic targets. In this review, we discuss the known molecular mechanisms of various heat shock protein families and their ...

IMMUNOLOGICAL RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE MYELOMA PROTEINS [PDF]
An immunological study of 21 myeloma sera was carried out to determine their relationship to components of normal γ-globulin and to each other. Ten proteins were separated for detailed characterization. Every one of the myeloma proteins studied was immunologically different, indicating individual specificity.

Binding of IgE Myeloma Proteins to Human Cultured Lymphoblastoid Cells [PDF]
The binding of human IgE myeloma proteins to 16 human cultured lymphoblastoid cell lines was studied by measuring specific uptake of radiolabeled deaggregated IgE myeloma proteins and/or E-IgE rosette formation. Eight lines, RPMI-8866, Wil-2WT, RPMI-6410,

Sequence variation among heavy chains from inulin-binding myeloma proteins [PDF]
The entire sequences of the variable region of four heavy chains from BALB/c inulin-binding myeloma proteins have been determined. Among the four proteins there are six amino acid differences, all of which occur in the framework portion of the variable ...

Partial Duplication in the “Hinge” Region of IgA 1 Myeloma Proteins [PDF]
The aminoacid sequence of the "hinge" region of two human IgA(1) myeloma proteins was found to be identical. A 30-residue fragment contains 3 cysteines, 12 prolines, and carbohydrate, and the sequence of a small segment of the hinge region is repeated at

Serum protein fingerprinting by PEA immunoassay coupled with a pattern-recognition algorithms distinguishes MGUS and multiple myeloma [PDF]
Serum protein fingerprints associated with MGUS and MM and their changes in MM after autologous stem cell transplantation (MM-ASCT, day 100) remain unexplored.

Inhibition of bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) proteins increases NKG2D ligand MICA expression and sensitivity to NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity in multiple myeloma cells. role of cMYC-IRF4-miR-125b interplay [PDF]
Background: Anticancer immune responses may contribute to the control of tumors after conventional chemotherapy and different observations have indicated that chemotherapeutic agents can induce immune responses resulting in cancer cell death and immune ...
