The prognostic value of clinical frailty scale and outcomes in older patients undergoing left ventricular assist device implantation

The main finding in our study is that Clinical Frailty Scale‐defined frailty status was predictive of 1‐year post‐interventional mortality after left ventricular assist device implantation. Abstract Objectives Heart failure impacts patients’ functional capabilities, ultimately leading to frailty.

XELOXIRI neoadjuvant chemotherapy appears to be feasible and efficacious for patients with LARC. Although neoadjuvant XELOXIRI alone did not yield our expected pCR rate, the local recurrence rate, 3‐year DFS and measures of safety met current standards.

In a study of 48 patients with acute superior mesenteric artery occlusion, a logistic regression model using time from onset to diagnosis and the occlusion site of superior mesenteric artery showed 78.6% sensitivity in ruling out cases requiring bowel resection.
