Regression and epithelial hyperplasia after myopic photorefractive keratectomy in a human cornea

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1999
We present the histology of a cornea of a woman who had excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) for myopia 6 months before she died in an accident. Preoperative spherical refraction was -6.00 diopters (D) with an astigmatism of -0.50 D. Six months postoperatively, refraction was -4.50 D. Slight corneal haze was noted at 1 and 3 months.

[Myopic regression after photorefractive keratectomy].

[Zhonghua yan ke za zhi] Chinese journal of ophthalmology, 2003
To investigate myopic regression after excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) in patients with myopia.103 eyes with regression (>or= -1.00 D) found in the follow-up for more than 1 year were included in this study. The preoperative spherical equivalent was -4.00 - -14.50 D (-8.72 +/- 2.65 D). Patients were divided into two groups: (1) moderate

Multiple regression analysis in myopic wavefront laser in situ keratomileusis nomogram development

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 2012
To develop a systematic method for quantifying pretreatment adjustments to the treatment sphere in patients having myopic wavefront laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK).Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, United Kingdom.Comparative case series.Preoperative and 3-month postoperative data from consecutive cases of myopic wavefront LASIK (

Myopic regression after photorefractive keratectomy.

Ophthalmic surgery and lasers, 1996
Myopic photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) using the 193 nm excimer laser is an effective and precise surgical procedure to correct myopia, but not without complications, such as corneal haze, over- or undercorrection, halo, glare, and myopic regression.

Multiple excimer laser retreatments for scarring and myopic regression following photorefractive keratectomy

Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, 1996
Excimer laser retreatment for scarring with myopic regression following photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) has been reported. We present the 38 month course of a patient who had PRK followed by two retreatments. The patient experienced scarring with myopic regression after an initial PRK with a 5.00 mm ablation zone.

Late-Onset Corneal Haze and Myopic Regression After Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)

Cornea, 2004
To report the incidence and clinical course of a series of patients who developed both delayed-onset, clinically significant progressive haze and myopic regression after photorefractive keratectomy (PRK).In this retrospective case series, the charts of 542 consecutive patients who had undergone PRK with the VISX Star Excimer or Nidek EC-5000 laser ...

Other Complications: Late-Onset Myopic Regression 12 Years Following Properly Centered Myopic LASIK

2014
Myopic regression following myopic LASIK is a common long-term outcome of refractive surgery [1, 2]. High degrees of myopic changes raise red flags that something more serious might be occurring.

Virtual Reality Assessment Reveals Myopic Regression After ICL Implantation in High Myopia

2020
To investigate the correlative factors of vision regression after Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery from the perspective of binocular vision and to develop a predictive model for the refractive change over the long term. This was a prospective study of 30 subjects (60 implants), who underwent ICL surgery at Guangdong General Hospital.

Hyperopic Shift and Myopic Regression in a Patient 7 Years After Bilateral Refractive Keratotomy

Journal of Refractive Surgery, 1996
ABSTRACT PURPOSE/METHODS: To report a patient who developed hyperopic progression in one eye and myopic regression in the other eye following bilateral, non-simultaneous refractive keratotomy. RESULTS: Uncorrected visual acuity improved to 20/25 and 20/25-2 in the right and left eyes, respectively, 3 months following refractive ...

Myopia and myopic astigmatism photorefractive keratectomy: applying an advanced multiple regression-derived nomogram

Graefe's Archive for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology, 2018
To evaluate a multiple regression-derived nomogram for myopia and myopic astigmatism photorefractive keratectomy (PRK).Regression modeling derived a formula for spherocylindrical correction in wavefront-optimized PRK (nomogram II). Treatment outcomes between eyes with myopia and myopic astigmatism using the manufacturer's nomogram (nomogram I) in the ...
