Anti‐Ro52/TRIM21 autoantibodies predict Sjögren's syndrome in patients with primary biliary cholangitis

open access: yesHepatology Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and aims Sjögren's syndrome is a common comorbidity in patients with primary biliary cholangitis (PBC). Anti‐Ro52 autoantibodies against the protein TRIM21 are often seen in Sjögren's syndrome. TRIM21 consists of four domains (PRY/SPRY, Coiled‐Coil, B‐box, and RING domain), each with a specific function.

Comparison of Three Immunoassays for the Detection of Myositis Specific Antibodies

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2019
Objectives: Standardization of myositis specific antibody (MSA) detection is of high importance because these antibodies are relevant for diagnosis and stratification of patients with idiopathic inflammatory myositis (IIM) and have the potential to be ...

Prognostic Biomarkers for Anti‐PD‐1 Monoclonal Antibodies in the First Line Treatment of Advanced Melanoma

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Approximately 50% of patients with advanced melanoma treated with first‐line anti‐PD‐1 immunotherapy achieve clinical benefit. However, to date, there are no validated biomarkers for objective response (ORR), progression‐free survival (PFS), or overall survival (OS) with this treatment.

Pre-existing antiacetylcholine receptor autoantibodies and B cell lymphopaenia are associated with the development of myositis in patients with thymoma treated with avelumab, an immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting programmed death-ligand 1

open access: yesAnnals of the Rheumatic Diseases, 2018
Immune checkpoint inhibitors enhance the immune response against tumours but may also trigger immune-related adverse events (IRAEs). Myositis is a rare IRAE.

Metabarcoding Reveals a Potentially Undescribed Columnaris‐Causing Bacterium in Peracute Skin Disease of Rainbow Trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss, Walbaum)

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Columnaris‐causing bacteria (CCB) represent a group of four Flavobacterium species, previously classified under Flavobacterium columnaris, causing a threatening condition in salmonid farming characterised by cutaneous and gill lesions, commonly referred to as ‘saddleback disease’. A peracute skin disease outbreak with high mortality in rainbow
