Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Rethinking plastic waste: innovations in enzymatic breakdown of oil‐based polyesters and bioplastics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Plastic pollution remains a critical environmental challenge, and current mechanical and chemical recycling methods are insufficient to achieve a fully circular economy. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in the enzymatic depolymerization of both oil‐derived polyesters and bioplastics, including high‐throughput protein engineering, de novo ...

The quantum marginal problem for symmetric states: applications to variational optimization, nonlocality and self-testing

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2021
In this paper, we present a method to solve the quantum marginal problem for symmetric d -level systems. The method is built upon an efficient semi-definite program that uses the compatibility conditions of an m -body reduced density with a global n ...

Evaluation of in vitro toxicity of common phytochemicals included in weight loss supplements using 1H NMR spectroscopy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the toxicity of 12 active compounds commonly found in herbal weight loss supplements (WLS) using human liver and colon cell models. Epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate was the only compound showing significant toxicity. Metabolic profiling revealed protein degradation, disrupted energy and lipid metabolism suggesting that the inclusion of EGCG ...

Supersymmetric extension of qKZ-Ruijsenaars correspondence

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
We describe the correspondence of the Matsuo–Cherednik type between the quantum n-body Ruijsenaars–Schneider model and the quantum Knizhnik–Zamolodchikov equations related to supergroup GL(N|M).

Mathematical modeling of some single-pulse space car flights

open access: yesИзвестия Томского политехнического университета: Промышленная кибернетика, 2023
This paper examines the movement of a spacecraft launching from the surface of the Earth at different speeds, within the framework of the five-body problem “Sun–Earth–Moon–Mars–a body with negligible mass” with a close approach to the surface of the Moon,

Unchained polygons and the N-body problem [PDF]

open access: yesRegular and Chaotic Dynamics, 2009
The simplest solutions of the N-body problem --symmetric relative equilibria-- are shown to be organizing centers from which stem some recently studied classes of periodic solutions. We focus on the relative equilibrium of the equal-mass regular N-gon, assumed horizontal, and study the families of Lyapunov quasi-periodic solutions bifurcating from them

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

New Insight of Time-transformed Symplectic Integrator. I. Hybrid Methods for Hierarchical Triples

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Accurate N -body simulations of multiple systems such as binaries and triples are essential for understanding the formation and evolution of interacting binaries and binary mergers, including gravitational wave sources, blue stragglers, and X-ray ...
