Ontology‐Aligned Structuring and Reuse of Multimodal Materials Data and Workflows Toward Automatic Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Reproduction of stacking fault energy calculations from literature with a semi‐automated large language model‐assisted extraction procedure: extraction of simulation protocol, atomistic structures, computational parameters, and reported results, ontology alignment, knowledge graph construction and, finally, recomputation forvalidation.

Jupiter’s Metastable Companions

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Jovian co-orbitals share Jupiter’s orbit and exhibit 1:1 mean-motion resonance with the planet. This includes >10,000 so-called Trojan asteroids surrounding the leading (L4) and trailing (L5) Lagrange points, viewed as stable groups dating back to planet

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Tree-ring Structure of Galactic Bar Resonance in N-body Simulations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We study the structure and evolution of the Galactic bar’s resonant phase space in self-consistent N -body simulations of the Milky Way, with and without perturbations from the Sagittarius dwarf galaxy. In an idealized disk evolution model in which stars

Designing Polymer Nanocomposites for X‐Ray Shielding: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Scalable Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights advances in lightweight, lead‐free polymer nanocomposites for diagnostic X‐ray shielding. By linking filler chemistry, dispersion, architecture, and photon interaction mechanisms, it establishes structure–performance relationships guiding material design.

An optimum time-stepping scheme for N-body simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present a new time-stepping criterion for N-body simulations that is based on the true dynamical time of a particle. This allows us to follow the orbits of particles correctly in all environments since it has better adaptivity than previous time ...

Field-level Comparison and Robustness Analysis of Cosmological N-body Simulations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present the first field-level comparison of cosmological N -body simulations, considering various widely used codes: Abacus, CUBEP ^3 M, Enzo, Gadget, Gizmo, PKDGrav, and Ramses.

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

N-body simulations of star forming regions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This thesis contains a body of work using N-body simulations and numerical methods to study star forming regions. It begins by introducing relevant topics, such as the basic picture of star formation, the en- vironment(s) that stars form in, stellar ...

Dynamical and Secular Stability of Mutually Inclined Planetary Systems

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Multiple analytical, semi-analytical, and empirical stability criteria have been derived in the literature for two-planet systems. But, the dependence of the stability limit on the initial mutual inclination between the inner and outer orbits is not well
