A human 3D bone niche integrating osteoblasts and osteoclasts enables co‐culture with prostate cancer cell lines and patient‐derived organoids. The engineered niche (i) models aspects of reciprocal phenotypic regulation between osteoblasts and cancer cells, (ii) captures osteoclast‐enhanced osteomimicry in tumor cells, and (iii) establishes a ...

Purpose: Exercise is known to acutely affect T-lymphocyte populations in the peripheral blood, which is intensity- and duration-dependent. However, effects of longer duration endurance exercise (>5 h) on T-cells in the days following are unknown. The aim

Naïve T lymphocytes display weaker and slower responses than antigen-experienced cells for reasons that are not well understood. Here we show that T-cell receptor (TCR) stimulation induces distinct ERK and p38 phosphorylation patterns in naïve and ...

Phenotype and tissue distribution of CD28H+ immune cell subsets
CD28H is a newly discovered co-receptor of the human B7 family. CD28H interacts with its ligand B7-H5 and regulates T cell response. Here we showed that CD28H was not expressed on granulocytes, monocytes, myeloid dendritic cells (MDCs), and B cells, but ...

Neutrophil‐Mimetic MRI Enables Ultra‐Early Detection of Vascular Inflammation After Stroke
In this study, we developed neutrophil‐mimetic MRI probes that detect ultra‐early neuroinflammation following ischemic stroke by targeting E‐selectin. Within seconds of their injection, these microparticles mimic initial leukocyte adhesion to the activated cerebral endothelium.

Naïve T cells need to contact FRCs to get access to IL-7 for survival.
(A–C) IL-7 is produced and presented on the surface of stromal cells. A-B. Confocal images of monolayer of fixed and permeablized stromal cells isolated from human tonsil immunofluorescently stained for (A) IL-7 (green) or (B) desmin (green) and DAPI ...
