The Prevalence of Symptomatic Dermographism: Results of the International UCARE PREVALENCE‐D Study

open access: yesAllergy, Volume 81, Issue 2, Page 468-479, February 2026.
An online expert‐designed questionnaire estimated the international prevalence of dermographism. Symptomatic dermographism, physiological red dermographism, and simple urticarial dermographism exhibit distinct prevalence patterns across age groups, sex, and geographic regions. Symptomatic dermographism has an international point prevalence of 3.20% (95%

A novel mechanism of auxin habituation: upregulation of auxin receptor TRANSPORT INHIBITOR RESPONSE 1 allows cell proliferation independent of external auxin

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 3, Page 1268-1282, February 2026.
Summary Exogenously applied auxins are essential for establishing cell lines in tissue cultures and maintaining their proliferation. Cell lines may develop the ability to proliferate even in media lacking auxin, they may become auxin‐habituated. This study investigated the mechanisms underlying this process.

An Efficient Solid Phase Extraction Method for Purification and Analysis of Compound‐Specific Plant Sugar Stable Hydrogen Isotope Values

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 2, 30 January 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale The stable hydrogen isotope composition (δ2H) of plant compounds can serve as environmental or metabolic proxies, but interpretations are hindered by insufficient mechanistic understanding. This can be improved by analyzing the δ2H values of metabolic intermediates, such as sucrose, which is the direct substrate of cellulose and a ...
