Data_Sheet_5_Resistance to the Plant Defensin NaD1 Features Modifications to the Cell Wall and Osmo-Regulation Pathways of Yeast.docx

open access: yes, 2018
Over the last few decades, the emergence of resistance to commonly used antifungal molecules has become a major barrier to effective treatment of recurrent life-threatening fungal diseases.

A Specific Sinorhizobium Flagellin Suppresses Legume Nodulation Through Immune Activation

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 5, Page 3441-3457, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Bacterial flagellin‐activated immunity plays a crucial role in shaping plant‐microbe interactions, leading to either parasitism, mutualism, or commensalism. In the legume‐rhizobium symbiosis, while it has been hypothesized that rhizobial infection involves avoidance of plant immunity following flagellin perception, direct evidence supporting ...

Mitochondrial Phylogenomics and Genome Evolution in Anura: Insights From Structure and Gene Order Rearrangements

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
By analyzing 277 anuran mitochondrial genomes, this study reconstructs a robust phylogeny for frogs and toads, tracing their origins to the Triassic and major radiations to the Cretaceous‐Neogene. The research identifies 58 distinct gene arrangement patterns, providing a novel evolutionary framework.

Field resistance to Fusarium oxysporum and Verticillium dahliae in transgenic cotton expressing the plant defensin NaD1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The plant defensin NaD1, from Nicotiana alata, has potent antifungal activity against a range of filamentous fungi including the two important cotton pathogens, Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum (Fov) and Verticillium dahliae.

Genetic characterization of Echinococcus granulosus strains isolated from humans based on nad1 and cox1 gene analysis in Isfahan, central Iran

open access: yes, 2018
Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a medically important parasite-caused human disease. Humans may acquire the infection accidentally by ingestion of E. granulosus eggs.

Organelle specific expression of bamboo mitochondrial-encoded complex I subunits NAD1 and NAD4 in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae

open access: yes, 2014
