In-Network Retransmissions in Named Data Networking [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 3rd ACM Conference on Information-Centric Networking, 2016
A core mechanism in every forwarding strategy is the decision of whether to retransmit an unsatisfied Interest or to wait for an application retransmission. While some applications request control of all retransmissions, others rely on the assumption that the strategy will retransmit an Interest when it is not satisfied.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Joint Incentive Mechanism for Paid Content Caching and Price Based Cache Replacement Policy in Named Data Networking

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Internet traffic volume is continuing to increase rapidly. Named data networking (NDN) has been introduced to support this Internet traffic growth through caching contents close to consumers.

Covert ephemeral communication in named data networking [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 9th ACM symposium on Information, computer and communications security, 2014
In the last decade, there has been a growing realization that the current Internet Protocol is reaching the limits of its senescence. This has prompted several research efforts that aim to design potential next-generation Internet architectures. Named Data Networking (NDN), an instantiation of the content-centric approach to networking, is one such ...

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

Pipe failure prediction of wastewater network using genetic programming: Proposing three approaches

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2023
Finding critical points of the wastewater network by rebuilding the infrastructure is cheaper than repairing it after occurring failure. This task can be done by using predictive approaches.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

DENA: An Intelligent Content Discovery System Used in Named Data Networking

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
Named data networking (NDN) aims at efficient content delivery and reducing the redundancy of data transmission. In NDN, one of the most important issues is how to utilize the cached contents to reduce the user's response delay and improve the ...
