Beyond Bactericidal: Plasma Surface Engineering to Defeat Food Matrix‐Conditioning Layers
ABSTRACT The persistence of foodborne pathogens on industrial food contact surfaces continues to challenge global food safety despite advances in sanitation technologies. A central limitation of current antimicrobial strategies lies in their validation under simplified laboratory conditions that overlook the physicochemically driven formation of food ...

Preparation, characterization and engine performance of water in diesel nanoemulsions
Water in diesel (W/D) nanoemulsions were prepared by the aid of high energy emulsification method. The formulation was accomplished in the presence of Triton X-100 surfactant. A wide range of surfactant concentration (0.25%-0.40% v/v) with varying amount

The cross‐validated regression tree showed modest predictive performance. Mortality was not significantly associated with the first two PCA axes. Molecular modeling generated testable ligand–target hypotheses. Psidium cattleianum had lower LD50. The larvicidal activity of the crude extracts could not be attributed to individual constituents.

ABSTRACT Obesity is a multifactorial disorder associated with systemic metabolic alterations and increased risk of renal injury, largely driven by chronic inflammation and oxidative stress. Bioactive lipids, particularly polyunsaturated fatty acids, have been shown to exert protective effects; however, their instability and susceptibility to oxidation ...

Abstract BACKGROUND Curcumin is a naturally derived polyphenol known for its potent biological properties. Its therapeutic potential, however, is hindered by low bioavailability. Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) have emerged as advanced delivery systems to overcome such limitations. Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) have garnered attention as

Abstract BACKGROUND Pomegranate peel is a rich source of phenolics, particularly punicalagin, but its valorization for fresh produce preservation requires stabilization. This study aimed to develop and evaluate freeze‐dried encapsulates of pomegranate peel extracts as ingredients in edible coatings for fresh‐cut celery. Pomegranate peels were extracted

Effect of oryzanol on the physicochemical stability of nanoemulsions
The effects of oryzanol levels (0%, 1% and 2%) and storage temperature (4, 25 and 37 ℃) on the physicochemical stability of the nanoemulsions were investigated. The results showed that oryzanol level had no significant effect on the physical stability of
