Modulated Nanomagnetics

Solid State Phenomena, 2014
Thermodynamic properties of modulated magnetic ordering nanoparticles are studied by the Monte-Carlo methods. Temperature curves for main thermodynamic parameters are plotted. The availability of free surface is shown to lead to the displacement of phase transition temperatures and the complex dependency of thermodynamic parameters on a temperature. We

Nanomagnetic skyrmions

Journal of Applied Physics, 2012
Magnetic skyrmions and other topologically protected nanostructures are investigated. Since skyrmions are mathematical rather than physical objects, they describe a wide variety of physical systems, from simple magnetic domain walls to complicated quantum phases with long-range many-body entanglement.

Patterned nanomagnets

Physics Today, 2007
The behavior of magnets with submicron dimensions depends intimately on the magnets’ shape and size. The rich variety of resulting phenomena brings with it the promise of new technologies.

Nanomagnetism

Proceedings of the International School of Physics “Enrico Fermi”
An overview is presented of the methods used to describe the behaviour of ferromagnetic materials on small spatial scales. Methods based on energy minimisation (micromagnetics) are discussed. It is shown that these methods naturally identify a characteristic length (exchange length) that controls the insurgence of phenomena that are inherent to ...

Nanomagnetic Models

2006
The atomic-scale and mesoscopic physics of magnetic nanostructures is reviewed. Emphasis is on the description of magnetic phenomena and properties by analytical models, as contrasted to numerical approaches. Nanostructuring affects the magnetic properties on different length scales, from a few interatomic distances for intrinsic properties such as ...

EPR of molecular nanomagnets

Coordination Chemistry Reviews, 2006
Electron paramagnetic resonance has played a crucial role in the determination of the properties and in explaining the origin of the peculiar behaviour of molecular nanomagnets, i.e., the slow relaxation of the magnetization at low temperature and the observation of quantum tunnelling of the magnetization.

Molecular nanomagnets

2017
This article describes the quantum phenomena observed in molecular nanomagnets. Molecular nanomagnets, or single-molecule magnets (SMMs), provides a fundamental link between spintronics and molecular electronics. SMMs combine the classic macroscale properties of a magnet with the quantum properties of a nanoscale entity.

Investigation of advanced nanomagnetic elements in nanomagnetic logic

2019
Nanomagnetic logic uses a magnetic phenomenon, which allows to encode and digitally process bits. To do this, elongated single domain ferromagnets are storing the binary 0 or 1 value in one of their two possible magnetic states. Due to dipolar magnetic coupling, two or more magnets can not only save, but process digital values, if the ...
