Combination therapy with amphotericin B and doxorubicin encapsulated in mannosylated nanomicelles for visceral leishmaniasis

open access: yes, 2020
Drugs used to treat visceral leishmaniasis (VL) have severe side effects and face increasing resistance. We have created a mannose-functionalized nanomicelle carrying two drugs amphotericin B (AmB) and doxorubicin (DOX).

Boron‐10 carriers and their applications in boron neutron capture therapy

open access: yesPrecision Radiation Oncology, Volume 10, Issue 2, Page 205-241, June 2026.
Summary of different types of boron drugs. Abstract Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) has emerged as a promising therapeutic modality in cancer treatment, demonstrating the ability to selectively eliminate cancer cells through the 10B(n,α)7Li nuclear reaction with minimal side effects on normal tissues.

Fluorinated Amphiphilic Dendrimer to Improve PET Imaging of Cancer

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 35, 23 June 2026.
Fluorination of a self‐assembling dendrimer nanosystem reduced liver retention, accelerated renal clearance and improved biodistribution, ultimately enhancing tumor uptake and enabling more sensitive tumor detection by positron emission tomography (PET).

Formulation of Nanomicelles to Improve the Solubility and the Oral Absorption of Silymarin [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Two novel nanomicellar formulations were developed to improve the poor aqueous solubility and the oral absorption of silymarin. Polymeric nanomicelles made of Soluplus and mixed nanomicelles combining Soluplus with d-α-tocopherol polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (vitamin E TPGS) were prepared using the thin film method.

Boron Neutron Capture Therapy at a Crossroads: Translational Gap and Emerging Delivery Agents

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 17, 5 May 2026.
This review surveys recent advances in boron delivery agents for BNCT, emphasizing the shift from classical small molecules to multifunctional nanocarriers and theranostic systems. By integrating targeting, imaging, and therapy, next‐generation boron compounds aim to bridge the gap between (bio)chemical innovation and clinical translation.

A multi-functional hypoxia/esterase dual stimulus responsive and hyaluronic acid-based nanomicelle for targeting delivery of chloroethylnitrosouea

open access: yes, 2023
Carmustine (BCNU), a vital type of chloroethylnitrosourea (CENU), inhibits tumor cells growth by inducing DNA damage at O 6 position of guanine and eventually forming dG-dC interstrand cross-links (ICLs).

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 20, 27 May 2026.
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...
