Preparation and in vitro evaluation of ampelopsin-loaded nanomicelles

China Journal of Chinese Materia Medica, 2016
To improve the solubility and antitumor activity of ampelopsin, ampelopsin-loaded nanomicelles from the mixture of pluronic F127 and D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (TPGS1000) were prepared by film-thin hydration method, in order to optimize the process conditions and physicochemical properties.

Polyplex nanomicelle delivery of self-amplifying RNA vaccine

Journal of Controlled Release, 2021
Self-amplifying RNA (SaRNA) is a burgeoning platform that exploits the replication machinery of alphaviruses such as Venezuelan equine encephalitis (VEE) virus or Sindbis virus (SIN). SaRNA has been used for development of human vaccines, but has not been evaluated for porcine vaccine development.

Casein nanomicelle as an emerging biomaterial—A comprehensive review

Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces, 2019
Casein nanomicelles, a major fraction of milk protein, are emerging as a novel drug delivery system owing to their various structural and functional properties. Casein is further divided into α-, β- and κ-casein, and to date various models have been proposed to describe casein structure, but still no definite structure presenting a detailed assembly of

Prodrugs and nanomicelles to overcome ocular barriers for drug penetration

Expert Opinion on Drug Metabolism & Toxicology, 2020
Ocular barriers hinder drug delivery and reduce drug bioavailability. This article focuses on enhancing drug absorption across the corneal and conjunctival epithelium. Both, transporter targeted prodrug formulations and nanomicellar strategy is proven to enhance the drug permeation of therapeutic agents across various ocular barriers.

Advances in nanomicelles for sustained drug delivery

Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry, 2017
Abstract The efficient direct access of therapeutic molecules to the target tissues is still a major obstacle in developing useful therapeutic interventions. Over the past decades, polymeric micelles are interesting nanocarries for drug delivery systems due to small size (10–100 nm), low toxicity, capacity to solubilize lipophilic drugs in core and ...

The combination of nanomicelles with terpenes for enhancement of skin drug delivery

International Journal of Pharmaceutics, 2018
The nanomicelles have recently drawn a great deal of attention for drug delivery into the skin. However, these carriers have only deposited in hair follicles and furrows, and drug in the micelles may not therapeutically reach into viable skin layers.
