Solid-State Nanopore Technologies for Nanopore-Based DNA Analysis

Nanomedicine, 2007
Nanopore-based DNA analysis is a new single-molecule technique that involves monitoring the flow of ions through a narrow pore, and detecting changes in this flow as DNA molecules also pass through the pore. It has the potential to carry out a range of laboratory and medical DNA analyses, orders of magnitude faster than current methods.

θ-Nanopore Ratiometry

ACS Nano
Developing nanoscale ratiometric techniques capable of biochemical response should prove of significance for precise applications with stringent spatial and biological restrictions. Here we present and devise the concept of θ-nanopore ratiometry, which uses ratiometric signals that could well address the serious concerns about device deviation in ...

Nanopore proteomics

2022
The invention relates to the field of genetically engineered nanopores and the use thereof in analyzing biopolymers and other (biological) compounds. Provided is a proteinaceous nanopore comprising a mutant pore-forming toxin, or a pore-forming fragment thereof, wherein the lumen-facing recognition region of the pore-forming protein or fragment thereof
