A formation of nanostructured anodic oxide on the silicon surface
Background. In modern microelectronics, silicon remains the main material in the production of semiconductor devices and integrated microcircuits. This is largely due to the physicochemical properties of silicon oxide - SiO2, which determines a wide ...

Modification of Glial Attachment by Surface Nanostructuring of SU-8 Thin Films
Various methods are currently under development to enhance the biocompatibility of neural electrodes and to minimize the reactive gliosis around the implant surface. As cells in their native microenvironment interact with 3D nanoscale topographies of the

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Hydrogels with micellar hydrophobic (nano)domains
Hydrogels containing hydrophobic domains or nanodomains, especially of the micellar type, are reviewed. Examples of the reasons for introducing hydrophobic domains into hydrophilic gels are given; typology of these materials is introduced.

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...
