Outcome and process frames: Strategic renewal and capability reprioritization at the Federal Bureau of Investigation

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Research Summary Framing is critical for leaders who must build support for strategic renewal. While research has concentrated on renewal that replaces one set of capabilities with another, we explore a distinctive challenge: how leaders persuade stakeholders to endorse the reprioritization of resources toward a capability set that must ...

Is pain associated with subsequent job loss? A panel study for Germany

open access: yesKyklos, Volume 76, Issue 1, Page 141-158, February 2023., 2023
Abstract The cross‐sectional association between pain and unemployment is well‐established. But the absence of panel data containing information on pain and labor market status has meant that less is known about the direction of any causal linkage. Those longitudinal studies that do examine the link between pain and subsequent labor market transitions ...

Traveling the Silk Road: A measurement analysis of a large anonymous online marketplace [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
We perform a comprehensive measurement analysis of Silk Road, an anonymous, international online marketplace that operates as a Tor hidden service and uses Bitcoin as its exchange currency. We gather and analyze data over eight months between the end of 2011 and 2012, including daily crawls of the marketplace for nearly six months in 2012.

Toward Personalized Immunotherapeutic Drug Monitoring with Multiplexed Extended‐Gate Field‐Effect‐Transistor Biosensors

open access: yesSmall Science, EarlyView.
In this study, a proof of concept is presented using an extended‐gate field‐effect‐transistor biosensing platform for monitoring immunotherapeutic drugs in vivo. Using varying sizes of immunotherapeutic drugs, the biosensor surpasses the sensitivity of standard methods, reducing the need for radioactive labeling in real‐time sensing.

Formation mechanisms and relaxation of NMR spin-echo signals excited by two arbitrary duration radio-frequency pulses in magnets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
The work is devoted to the problem of multiple signals of nuclear spin echoes in magnets, excited by a series of radio-frequency (RF) arbitrary duration pulses exceeding the free induction decay time. The quantum-statistical approach based on the Liouville equation solution for the statistical operator of system is developed for the investigation of ...
