Comparative evaluation of noncanonical amino acids as site‐specific NMR probes for the complex of E. coli SSB with single‐stranded DNA without isotope labelling

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Genetic encoding of noncanonical amino acids (ncAA) enables their site‐specific installation in proteins. This work compares the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) performance of different ncAAs in a large protein−DNA complex (~ 100 kDa) without isotope labelling. The ncAAs deliver readily detectable NMR signals in the complex between E.

Impact of monomer contamination of isopropanol during post‐rinsing on the accuracy of dental models fabricated by vat photopolymerization

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of an increasing level of monomer contamination of isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol [IPA]) during post‐rinsing on the dimensional stability of test samples produced by vat photopolymerization.

Differentiating Creatine and Phosphocreatine In Vivo Using 3 T 1H MR Spectroscopy

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 1896-1906, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Validation and improvements to the proton MR spectroscopic measurement of creatine and phosphocreatine in vivo at 3 T. Methods Spectral simulations were used to evaluate and explore the mitigation of LCModel fitting bias due to lineshape, signal‐to‐noise (SNR) and non‐metabolite backgrounds with a focus on phosphocreatine and the ...

Primitive Ligands Drive 1D CsPbI3 Nanostructures with Strongly Polarized Photoluminescence

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 6, 2 February 2026.
This work illustration highlights I− concentration drives the structural evolution of CsPbI3 from cubic to orthorhombic phase, accompanied by octahedral distortion. In addition, increasing I− transforms nanorods into ginkgo‐leaf‐like assemblies, including a 659–683 nm PL redshift due to bandgap narrowing and strain effects.

Identifying Out‐of‐Voxel Echoes in Edited MRS With Phase Cycle Inversion

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 95, Issue 4, Page 1921-1933, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To identify the origin of out‐of‐voxel (OOV) signals based on the coherence transfer pathway (CTP) formalism using signal phase conferred by the acquisition phase cycling scheme. Knowing the CTP driving OOV artifacts enables optimization of crusher gradients to improve their suppression.

Residual Chemical Shift Anisotropies in the Structure Determination of Small Molecules

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Chemistry, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 286-311, March 2026.
Plasma neutrophil elastase(ELANE) was markedly elevated in patients with alcohol use disorder, indicating a dysregulated protease‐antiprotease inflammatory balance characterised by decreased SERPINA3. ELANE showed excellent diagnostic specificity(AUC = 0.8683), supporting its potential utility as a neuroinflammatory biomarker for AUD.

Band‐Selective IR PRESS for Brain Tumor Spectroscopy Allows Robust Detection of Lactate

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 3, March 2026.
Lactate quantification by MRS is hindered by lipid signal overlap at 1.3 ppm, frequently forcing the use of long echo times that suppress other metabolites. We developed SPIR‐PRESS, a selective inversion recovery technique that suppresses lipids while preserving metabolite sensitivity.

Enhanced Resolution in EPR Spectroscopy Using para‐Hydrogen Matrices

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Volume 65, Issue 6, 2 February 2026.
We demonstrate the advantageous properties of solid para‐hydrogen (p‐H2) matrices for electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy by investigating the 2,2,6,6‐tetramethylpiperidinyloxyl (TEMPO) radical and an in situ generated P‐centered mono‐radical.
