TNFRSF19 is an epigenetically silenced regulator of mitophagy in triple‐negative breast cancer. TNFRSF19 deficiency activates the TGFBR1–SMAD3–PINK1 axis to promote mitophagy and confer doxorubicin resistance, whereas decitabine‐mediated restoration of TNFRSF19 suppresses mitophagy and enhances doxorubicin sensitivity, revealing a targetable epigenetic–

This study identifies ALYREF as an oncogenic m5C reader in endometrial cancer. ALYREF recognizes NSUN2‐mediated m5C modification on XRCC6 mRNA to enhance transcript stability and increase XRCC6 expression. Elevated XRCC6 activates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling, resulting in accelerated tumor cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and xenograft tumor growth.

Nasopharyngeal Carriage of Streptococcus pneumoniae in Gambian Infants: A Longitudinal Study [PDF]
To prepare for national introduction of a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine of restricted valency, we studied nasopharyngeal carriage of Streptococcus pneumoniae in Gambian infants. We studied 236 infants in 21 villages. We collected nasopharyngeal swab samples at birth, twice per month for 6 months, and every second month until 1 year of age.

Main Raman signals in RNA, related to helical backbone, ribofuranose ring, and nitrogenous bases, are affected by secondary structures that cause hyperchromic effects and significantly alter the Raman intensity. ABSTRACT Raman spectra of RNA nucleotide strands extracted from 20 SARS‐CoV‐2 strains, including the original Japanese isolate, Alpha, Beta ...

VCIPIP1 emerges as a molecular link between protein stability and prostate cancer progression. By deubiquitinating and stabilizing UBE3A, VCIPIP1 promotes p53 degradation and progression to castration‐resistant prostate cancer. Elevated VCIPIP1 expression is associated with shorter castration‐resistant prostate cancer–free survival, highlighting the ...

This study maps how Epstein–Barr virus reshapes the cellular ecosystem of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. It identifies SPP1+ macrophages as partners of stemness‐associated tumor cells and dysfunctional T cells, links tumor‐derived MIF to macrophage recruitment and programming, and shows that macrophage‐derived SPP1 promotes tumorsphere formation and impairs

Nasopharyngeal Pneumococcal Carriage in Nigeria: a two-site, population-based survey [PDF]
AbstractChanges in nasopharyngeal (NP) carriage of vaccine-type (VT) Streptococcus pneumoniae can be used to assess the effectiveness of a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV10). We conducted a baseline carriage survey in rural (Kumbotso, Kano) and urban (Pakoto, Ogun) Nigeria.
