A direct reactor auxiliary cooling system (DRACS) under natural circulation (NC) conditions with a dipped-type direct heat exchanger (D-DHX) in the upper plenum of a reactor vessel (RV) has been investigated for enhancing the safety of sodium-cooled fast

Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

Cancer progression is regulated by the dynamic matrix code of the tumor microenvironment, which influences cellular behavior and disease development. Importantly, matrix remodeling in three‐dimensional cancer models more accurately reflects in vivo conditions compared to conventional two‐dimensional systems.

Application of Simulated Annealing Algorithm in Core Flow Distribution Optimization
Core flow distribution is closely related to the thermal–hydraulic performance and safety of reactors. For natural circulation reactors with a limited driving force, flow distribution optimization is of particular significance, which can be contrived by ...

Animals must match their growth rate to available nutrients. We show that in Drosophila larvae, the nutrient‐sensing TOR kinase controls growth by regulating levels of TFAM, a key regulator of mitochondrial function, in the adipose tissue. When nutrients are abundant, high TOR activity suppresses TFAM, lowering mitochondrial bioenergetic activity and ...

Research on Flow and Heat Transfer Characteristics in Helical-coiled Tube under Motion Condition
Natural circulation technology and helical-coiled tube steam generator are widely adopted in marine nuclear power system design due to the inherent safety feature of natural circulation and high heat transfer coefficient of helicalcoiled steam ...

Epigenetic reprogramming of lineage switching in cancer
Cancer cells rarely commit to a single identity. Epigenetic mechanisms and tumor microenvironment cues push epithelial cells toward flexible, hybrid states that can shift into mesenchymal, neuroendocrine, or stem‐like fates, driving metastasis, drug resistance, and tumor heterogeneity. Targeting the epigenetic regulators behind these transitions, using
