THE ANALYSIS OF DIGITAL MODEL OF SOIL AND GEOGRAPHICAL CONDITIONS OF SMOLENSK REGION AT THE STUDYING OF NATURAL FOCI INFECTIONS (ON TULYAREMIYA'S EXAMPLE)

open access: yesInterCarto. InterGIS, 2013
This work describes using of soil’s digital model at the studying of natural foci infections. Distribution of natural foci infections depends on a complex of factors, including soil’s conditions.

Exon 7 splicing of ERα predicts poor prognosis and increases phenotypic heterogeneity in luminal a subtype breast cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ERα splice variant ERα∆7 lacks the C‐terminus, and its expression may change phenotypes of breast cancers. Our results showed that ERα∆7 is found in the luminal A subtype, and elevated ERα∆7 levels are linked to improved cell survival with lower proliferation and migration.

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Epizootic Activity of Natural Foci of Tularemia in Three Territories of the Arctic Zone

open access: yesЭпидемиология и вакцинопрофилактика
Relevance. Tundra natural foci of tularemia are epizootically active. They are supported mainly by populations of endemics – ungulate and Siberian lemmings. However, studies of natural foci of tularemia in the Arctic zone were and are irregular. Recently,

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

The Small Molecule Inhibitor of the Type III Secretion System Fluorothiazinone Affects Flagellum Surface Presentation and Restricts Motility in Gram-Negative Bacteria

open access: yesAntibiotics
Background/Objectives: Fluorothiazinone (FT), a small molecule of the 2,4-disubstituted-4H-[1,3,4]-thiadiazine-5-one class, is known to inhibit the type III secretion system (T3SS) in Gram-negative bacteria and has shown therapeutic potential in animal ...
