Lactate Changes Quantified by fMRS: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 6, June 2026.
A systematic meta‐analysis of fMRS studies investigating brain lactate in healthy human subjects was conducted, with experiments categorized according to magnetic field strength, spectroscopic echo time, and task design. Across all included studies, lactate concentration was consistently reported to increase during functional stimulation, showing an ...

TPVs PA/NBR: sistema de reticulação e propriedades PA/NBR TPVs: crosslink system and properties

Deep Learning for Satellite‐Based Forest Disturbance Monitoring: Recent Advances and Challenges

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Volume 16, Issue 2, June 2026.
Overview of key research challenges in forest disturbance monitoring, including the detection of disturbances of varying severity, the attribution of disturbance agents, and the development of models capable of generalizing across regions. ABSTRACT Climate change and land use pressures are intensifying forest disturbances in many world regions, as ...

Agricultural Price Seasonality and Market Failure: Examining the Net Seller Household and the Net Benefit Ratio Definition [PDF]

open access: yes
On the basis of a household typology distinguishing between net sellers, net buyers and self sufficient, the Net Benefit Ratio (NBR), defined by Deaton (1989), is used to approximate households' first order welfare variations when price change.

Weak braided monoidal categories and their homotopy colimits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We show that the homotopy colimit construction for diagrams of categories with an operad action, recently introduced by Fiedorowicz, Stelzer and Vogt, has the desired homotopy type for diagrams of weak braided monoidal categories.

Ideal Sorting: An Extension of Preference Sorting

open access: yesJournal of Sensory Studies, Volume 41, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Sorting is a rapid descriptive method that does not require trained panels and is suitable for studies involving a large number of samples. Preference Sorting (a variation of Sorting) is a recent and underexplored method that seeks to determine the characteristics that most contribute to a product's acceptance.

Optimized Protocol for the Isolation of UHMWPE Wear Debris by Lyophilization and Chemometric Identification (EDS/PCA)

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, Volume 114, Issue 5, May 2026.
An optimized protocol combining serum lyophilization, solid‐state alkaline digestion, and PCA‐assisted EDS analysis was validated for the analysis of UHMWPE wear debris. The method increased recovery yield by 20‐fold compared to liquid digestion and preserved particle morphology.
