Novel insights into the regulation of nucleolar function and longevity by ncl-1 [PDF]
The nucleolus is primarily described as the control center for ribonuclear protein assembly and rRNA synthesis. However, there is increasing evidence that the nucleolus also plays a role in protein quality, genome stability and cell cycle progression ...

Evidence of Iron Accumulation in Cerebral Adrenoleukodystrophy: A Potential Novel Disease Mechanism
ABSTRACT In this first application of Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping Source Separation to cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy, we uncovered alterations in iron and myelin within lesions and normal appearing white matter. As validation, we demonstrate abnormal iron accumulation in those same compartments within primary brain tissue.

Structural and Chemical Engineering of Sub‐Nanochannel Membranes Toward Ion Selectivity
This review summarizes recent advances in structural and chemical engineering of sub‐nanochannels for ion selectivity. We first introduce fundamental ion transport mechanisms within sub‐nanochannels, followed by strategies to tune pore size, geometry, and surface functionalities, categorized into charge‐based, ion‐recognition, hydrophilic bonding, and ...

Design for Test of Asynchronous NULL Convention Logic (NCL) Circuits
Due to the absence of a global clock and the presence of more state holding elements that synchronize the control and data paths, conventional Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) algorithms fail when applied to asynchronous circuits, leading to poor

MccB‐catalyzed C‐terminal Thioesterification for Protein Bioconjugation
Abstract Protein bioconjugation enables the installation of functional groups, probes, and payloads that cannot be genetically encoded, thereby enabling the study and manipulation of biological systems. An important class of intermediates in protein bioconjugation is C‐terminal protein α‐thioesters, which are kinetically stable yet thermodynamically ...
