Scalar transport in the near aerodynamic wakes of surface-mounted cubes

Atmospheric Environment (1967), 1978
Abstract The paper describes investigations in the near wake regions of surface-mounted cubes of various sizes in boundary layers of contrasting thicknesses. Measurements were made of the near wake residence time of artificially-injected scalars (smoke) and of the cavity length.

Modified cement-based adhesive for near-surface mounted CFRP strengthening system

The near-surface mounted (NSM) strengthening system has emerged as a promising technology to increase the strength of concrete for flexure, shear and torsion. Strengthening by this technique has been applied to a large number of concrete structures worldwide using epoxy adhesives.
