Active Microwave Circuit With Negative Group Delay [PDF]
In this letter, we report on the design, simulation and implementation of an active negative group delay circuit that operates at 1 GHz with a group delay and a gain, respectively, around 2 ns and 2 dB. Analytical formulas are proposed to demonstrate that the adopted topology is able to simultaneously achieve negative group delay (NGD) and gain while ...

Design of ₌׀₌ Shape Stub-Based Negative Group Delay Circuit
IEEE Design & Test, 2021Editor’s note: This article presents a type of negative group delay (NGD) circuit based on transmission line resonators. To obtain the circuit’s S-parameters, this article uses a combination of ABCD and Z-parameters. Analytical design equations are presented, which are verified using circuit simulations.

A filter with equal-ripple negative group delay
2018 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS), 2018A new design method is proposed for filters with equal-ripple negative group delay (NGD). By combining the coupling matrix of bandstop filter with the nonuniform-s technique, the equal-ripple NGD characteristic is achieved. The ripple is mainly determined by the minimum dissipation factor of resonators, while the NGD is controlled by the maximum ...

Negative group velocity and group delay in left-handed media
Physical Review E, 2004The dynamics of wave propagation in media with negative index of refraction is analyzed through analytical calculations, simulations, and experiments. Using a free space setup, the transmission characteristics of two split ring resonator and strip wire left-handed media (LHM), designed for operation at K -band frequencies (18-26 GHz), are measured. The

On the fractional domain analysis of negative group delay circuits
International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, 2023SummaryIn this work, the analysis of negative group delay circuits in fractional domain has been conducted. The low pass and the high pass negative group delay circuits constructed based on passive network have been chosen as our candidate circuits. For performing the analysis in fractional domain, the novel Caputo–Fabrizio derivative‐based fractional ...

A negative group delay model for feedback-delayed manual tracking performance
Journal of Computational Neuroscience, 2016We propose that feedback-delayed manual tracking performance is limited by fundamental constraints imposed by the physics of negative group delay. To test this hypothesis, the results of an experiment in which subjects demonstrate both reactive and predictive dynamics are modeled by a linear system with delay-induced negative group delay.

A delayed-feedback filter with negative group delay
Chaos: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Nonlinear Science, 2018A filter with delay-induced negative group delay is presented. The filter consists of multiple time-delayed feedback terms, which lead to a negative group delay for frequencies in the baseband. It can be used for the real-time prediction of band-limited signals. The filter is universal as it does not rely on a specific model of the signal. Specifically,

Negative group delay circuit with independently tunable center frequency and group delay
2013 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference Proceedings (APMC), 2013In this paper, a design of negative group delay circuit (NGDC) with independently tunable center frequency and group delay (GD) is presented. Since the proposed structure consists of a parallel RLC resonance circuit, it is possible to obtain a variable negative GD by using a variable resistor and an adjustment of center frequency of GD is possible due ...

Group delay flatness and bandwidth enhancement of wideband negative group delay microwave circuit
International Journal of RF and Microwave Computer-Aided Engineering, 2020A wideband negative group delay (NGD) microwave circuit with group delay flatness and bandwidth enhancement is proposed. The proposed negative group delay circuit (NGDC) is composed of a resistor connected by two transmission lines and a parallel branch consisted of a resistor linking with a stepped‐impedance transmission line and two open stubs.
