The negative side of cohomology for Calabi-Yau categories [PDF]
We study integer-graded cohomology rings defined over Calabi-Yau categories. We show that the cohomology in negative degree is a trivial extension of the cohomology ring in non-negative degree, provided the latter admits a regular sequence of central ...

VSC control strategy for HVDC compensating negative sequence and decaying DC components
This paper proposes a voltage source converter (VSC) control strategy for the high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems compensating the negative sequence and decaying DC (DDC) components. The mathematical model of the grid fault current is

A Negative Answer to the Prime Sequence Question [PDF]
If P is a complete intersection prime, i.e., a prime ideal generated by h t ( P ) ht(P) elements, in a Noetherian domain, can P be generated by a prime sequence, a regular sequence whose initial segments generate prime ideals?

The Ricci flow in a class of solvmanifolds [PDF]
In this paper, we study the Ricci flow of solvmanifolds whose Lie algebra has an abelian ideal of codimension one, by using the bracket flow. We prove that solutions to the Ricci flow are immortal, the omega-limit of bracket flow solutions is a single ...

‘Negative repeating doublets’ in an aftershock sequence [PDF]
We observed some ‘negative repeating doublets’, with nearly opposite three-component waveforms, in the aftershock sequence of the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. The ‘negative repeaters’ are identified by using the broadband seismic record (with frequency range from 1 to 10 Hz) of the Wenchuan station (WCH) with a near epicenter distance from 19.7 to 26.6 km.

Influence of Negative Sequence Injection Strategies on Faulted Phase Selector Performance
Renewable power is expected to increase drastically in the coming years due to the energy transition. A large part of the newly installed generators will be connected to the power system through inverters and electronic converters, whose behaviour ...

Detection and Location of Stator Winding Interturn Fault at Different Slots of DFIG
Generators are critical components for the wind power generation system and process industries. Generating units or production lines may be shut down by generator failure.

Limit cycles in piecewise-affine gene network models with multiple interaction loops [PDF]
In this paper we consider piecewise affine differential equations modeling gene networks. We work with arbitrary decay rates, and under a local hypothesis expressed as an alignment condition of successive focal points. The interaction graph of the system

The Performance of a Three-Phase Induction Motor under and over Unbalance Voltage
Voltage unbalance is an adverse global phenomenon impacting three-phase induction motor output. Three-phase source voltage may become imbalanced in a variety of respects, while a balanced system preserves stable voltage magnitude and angles in three ...
