Ultra Logconcave Sequences and Negative Dependence
A conjecture by Pemantle, that the convolution of ultra-logconcave sequences is ultra-logconcave, is proved. This is equivalent to the statement, that a suitable negative dependence property is preserved under the operation of sampling uniformly without replacement from two finite exchangeable Bernoulli sequences.

Convergence Properties for Asymptotically almost Negatively Associated Sequence [PDF]
We get the strong law of large numbers, strong growth rate, and the integrability of supremum for the partial sums of asymptotically almost negatively associated sequence. In addition, the complete convergence for weighted sums of asymptotically almost negatively associated sequences is also studied.

ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

A Central Limit Theorem for non-overlapping return times
Define the non-overlapping return time of a random process to be the number of blocks that we wait before a particular block reappears. We prove a Central Limit Theorem based on these return times.

Sequences with finitely many negative squares
Let \({\mathbb{N}}_ 0=\{all\) nonnegative integers\(\}\), \({\mathbb{Z}}=\{all\) integers including zero\(\}\), \({\mathbb{R}}=\{all\) real numbers\(\}\). The following theorems typify the nature of the results of this paper: Theorem. Suppose that the sequence \(f:{\mathbb{N}}_ 0\to {\mathbb{R}}\) has K negative squares and is polynomially determinate.

ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

The Impact of Geomagnetically Produced Negative-Sequence Harmonics on Power Transformers
Geomagnetically induced currents (GICs), although small in magnitude, can inflict detrimental effects on power systems. GICs damage transformers, generate unusual harmonics, trip reactive power support equipment, cause protective relays to malfunction ...

Ascitic fluid analysis for the differentiation of malignancy related and nonmalignant ascites [PDF]
The authors tried to differentiate malignancy-related from nonmalignant ascites with a sequence of sensitive followed by specific ascitic-fluid parameters. There were four results of this study. First, of nine parameters investigated in a first series of
