Broken Rotor Bar Fault Detection for Inverter-Fed Induction Motor with Negative-Sequence Current Analysis [PDF]
This study examines the effectiveness of negative-sequence current analysis in identifying broken rotor bars for inverter-fed induction motors under different load and speed conditions. To improve diagnostic reliability, inverter-induced harmonics in the

Turn-to-Turn Fault Diagnosis on Three-Phase Power Transformer Using Hybrid Detection Algorithm
A power transformer (PT) in power generation or transmission is critical to maintaining electrical continuity. Fault detection on a PT is needed, especially of incipient faults, which are often caused by a turn-to-turn fault (TTF) before it develops into

An inter-turn fault (ITF) is one of the most frequent induction motor faults; thus, many previous works have studied its model and diagnosis. However, previous works, simplifying the specific distorted flux distribution by the ITF, presented induction ...

Practical calculation of asymmetric short circuit current of DFIG connected to distribution network [PDF]
In view of the existing complex analytic calculations of DFIG short-circuit current are hardly applied in engineering projects, a practical calculation of asymmetric short-circuit current of DFIG is proposed.

Active Control Method for Torsional Vibration of DFIG Drive Chain Under Asymmetric Power Grid Fault
When the asymmetric fault occurs in power grid, it will cause the oscillation of the electromagnetic torque of the doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG).

This paper studied the use of a new stator current feature for detection of winding and cage bars faults in an induction motor, and presents the experimental validation of a detection and identification scheme using Support Vector Machines (SVM). This validation was performed in a test bed using 2 HP, 4 pole motors in which shorted winding and broken ...

Summary This paper proposes an improved transient negative-sequence calculation formula for a large-capacity nuclear power generator system under unbalanced network conditions. Because of the disadvantages of traditional transient negative-sequence ratings, I2*2 t is concluded to be inadequate for rating the generator imbalance capability.

MMC-SST input-level control strategy considering power quality optimization
The surge of negative sequence component of current affects the waveform quality of grid side current and endangers the normal operation of the system when the three-phase voltage of solid state transformer (SST) in the distribution network is unbalanced
