Neighborhood Rough Set based Multi-document Summarization

open access: yesCoRR, 2021
This research paper proposes a novel Neighbourhood Rough Set based approach for supervised Multi-document Text Summarization (MDTS) with analysis and impact on the summarization results for MDTS. Here, Rough Set based LERS algorithm is improved using Neighborhood Rough Set which is itself a novel combination called Neighborhood-LERS to be experimented ...

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Neighborhood Rough Filter and Intuitionistic Entropy in Unsupervised Tracking

open access: yes, 2018
This paper aims at developing a novel methodology for unsupervised video tracking by exploring the merits of neighborhood rough sets. A neighborhood rough filter is designed in this process for initial labeling of continuous moving object(s) even in the ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

On Three Types of Soft Rough Covering-Based Fuzzy Sets

open access: yes, 2021
Recently, the concept of a soft rough fuzzy covering (briefly, SRFC) by means of soft neighborhoods was defined and their properties were studied by Zhan’s model.

Multilabel Feature Selection Using Relief and Minimum Redundancy Maximum Relevance Based on Neighborhood Rough Sets

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Recently, multilabel classification is of increasing interest in machine learning and artificial intelligence. However, the distances of samples in most Relief methods easily result in heterogeneous or similar samples abnormal when the distances are very

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

An approach to neutrosophic soft rough set and its properties [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
In this paper a new approach is being introduced to study roughness through neutrosophic soft sets. This new model is called neutrosophic right neighborhood.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.
