Luminescent Donor‐Acceptor Radical With Propeller Chirality: Bright and Photostable Red Circularly Polarized Luminescence and Whispering Gallery Mode Resonance

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A series of donor‐attached brominated chiral luminescent radicals (CzTTBrM, 2CzTTBrM, and 3CzTTBrM) was synthesized, showing red to near‐infrared (NIR) circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) with exceptionally high PLQY of up to 76% and markedly enhanced CPL brightness (BCPL). Doping into polystyrene microspheres further yields whispering gallery mode

CsPbBr3–Nanodiamonds Hybrid Wafers for Mechanically Robust, High‐Performance X‐Ray Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
NDs‐engineered CsPbBr3 hybrid wafers, fabricated via scalable solid‐state grinding and cold pressing, utilize trace NDs to regulate mechanochemical conversion, promote heterogeneous nucleation, bridge grain boundaries, and passivate interfacial defects. The optimized wafer exhibits dense microstructures, improved charge transport, reduced dark current,

Dithioketal Polymers Via Radical Polymerization of γ‐Dithiobutyrolactone

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
γ‐Dithiobutyrolactone (DTBL) behaves like a ring‐retaining monomer in radical copolymerization with a series of conjugated monomers like styrene, t‐butyl acrylate and N,N‐dimethylacrylamide. The resulting copolymers contain controlled fractions of dithioketal linkages in their backbone, allowing chemical degradation.

Donor–Acceptor Pentacene Analogues With Near‐Infrared Emission and Tunable Aromaticity

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Air‐ and photostable heterocyclic pentacene analogues with donor and acceptor groups flanking a para‐quinodimethane core exhibit large dipole moments, narrow bandgaps, reversible redox behavior, and NIR‐I to NIR‐II absorption and emission with pronounced solvatochromism.
