Differential scattering of metastable neon on neon

Journal of Physics B: Atomic and Molecular Physics, 1977
Differential elastic scattering cross sections for a beam of metastable neon (Ne*) incident on ground-state Ne atoms have been measured in the centre-of-mass energy range 7-53 eV. Two peaks identified as rainbow maxima were observed at tau =E theta approximately=45 and 67 eV deg.

Neon

Proceedings of the ACM SIGGRAPH/EUROGRAPHICS workshop on Graphics hardware, 1998
High-performance 3D graphics accelerators traditionally require multiple chips on multiple boards, including geometry, rasterizing, pixel processing, and texture mapping chips. These designs are often scalable: they can increase performance by using more chips.

Hyperpolarizability of the neon atom

Physical Review A, 1989
The multiconfiguration time-dependent Hartree-Fock method is applied to compute the hyperpolarizabiltiy of the neon atom and its frequency dependence. For the static limit \ensuremath{\gamma}=\ensuremath{\gamma}(0;0,0,0) we obtain \ensuremath{\gamma}=86.5 a.u. This value agrees very well with a recent experimental value of 75 a.u.

Neon Oscillator Megohmmeter

2019
This article is about the application of the neon lamp in oscillator circuit to the measurement of high electrical resistance. It has been found that the relationship between the period of the oscillator and the resistance in the circuit is linear to a high degree of accuracy. This linear relation are applied to the measurement of high resistance, with

Neon behind the signs

Nature Chemistry, 2013
Felice Grandinetti ponders on the peculiarity of neon among the noble gases — and whether it should occupy the top-right position in the periodic table.

Transverse Diffusion of Neon Ions in Neon

1990
The ratio DT/μ between the transverse diffusion coefficient and the mobility for 20Ne+ions in neon has been determined from the variance of directly measured transverse current density distributions of mass analyzed ions at 294 K and 20 ≤ E/No≤ 2000 Td using a variable length drift tube mass spectrometer.
