Adjuvant chemotherapy seems beneficial for invasive intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms
European Journal of Surgical Oncology (EJSO), 2013The incidence of intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is rising and these neoplasms now represent up to 25% of resected pancreatic neoplasms. The optimal postoperative management of resected invasive IPMN is still debated in the absence of large prospective clinical trials and of validated prognostic factors in this setting.

Overexpression of CEACAM6 in borderline and invasive mucinous ovarian neoplasms
Gynecologic Oncology, 2008Identifying markers specific for mucinous ovarian neoplasms (MON) is important for cancer diagnosis and surveillance, and will help improve our general understanding of the pathobiology of these tumors. CEACAM6 overexpression appears to be an early molecular event with prognostic significance in gastrointestinal carcinomas.

[Similarities between angiogenesis and neoplasm invasiveness ].
Comptes rendus des seances de la Societe de biologie et de ses filiales, 1998We have shown that given cytokines are capable of inducing the expression of transcription factors of the Ets family in two very distinct cell types: 1) endothelial cells of blood vessels, but only during neovascularization, and 2) fibrocytic cells from stroma surrounding tumors, but only if these tumors bear characteristics of invasiveness.

[Lobular neoplasms and invasive lobular breast cancer].
Der Pathologe, 2014The term lobular neoplasia (LN) comprises both atypical lobular hyperplasia (ALH), and lobular carcinoma in situ (LCIS) and thus a spectrum of morphologically heterogeneous but clinically and biologically related lesions. LN is regarded as a nonobligatory precursor lesion of invasive breast cancer and at the same time as an indicator lesion for ...
