Focal choroidal excavation and pitchfork sign in choroidal neovascularisation associated with choroidal osteoma

European Journal of Ophthalmology, 2019
Purpose: To describe a complex case of choroidal osteoma complicated by choroidal neovascularisation and focal choroidal excavation and presence of pitchfork sign. Methods: A young female patient with confirmed diagnosis of choroidal osteoma was followed

[Neovascularisation of the cornea].

Klinische Monatsblatter fur Augenheilkunde, 2006
The penetration of blood vessels in the cornea causes a reduction of transparency and as a result reduced vision or even blindness.Experiments were conducted on 120 New Zealand albino rabbits, separated into different groups. Doses of vasculogenic alkalis provoked burning of the corneas.

Peripheral neovascularisation of muscle and musculocutaneous flaps

British Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1985
The collateral vascularisation of muscle flaps covered by a skin graft and of musculocutaneous island flaps was studied in a pig model using the latissimus dorsi muscle. Vascular ingrowth from the underlying bed was stopped by using silastic sheeting.

Neovascularisation of intracranial tumours

1986
Extracts from samples of 1 glioblastoma, 8 meningiomas (5 of which were pooled) and pooled samples of 4 acoustic nerve tumours were tested for endothelial-cell-stimulating angiogenesis factor (ESAF). The ex-tracts were separated into fractions of known molecular mass using gel-filtration chromatography.

Fusion of images in multistep analysis of neovascularisation

International Journal of Radiation Biology, 2009
The aim of our study was to develop a method for the fusion of images received after repeated staining of the same sample taking into account spatial differences between the images.A method of objective fusion performance was investigated on the images receiving during multistep staining of the xenograft tumour cross-sections.It was shown that several ...

Bietti crystalline dystrophy and choroidal neovascularisation

International Ophthalmology, 2010
Bietti crystalline dystrophy is a rare autosomal recessive condition characterised by the presence of crystals in the retina and is followed by retinal and choroidal degeneration. We present a novel finding of juxtafoveal choroidal neovascularisation in Bietti crystalline dystrophy and demonstrate a spectral domain optical coherence tomography image of

Venous component in scar penetrating neovascularisation

Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery, 2017
The impact of old scar tissue on the venous anatomy of a flap's pedicle is an important question in reconstructive surgery. This study tried to investigate the venous component in scar penetrating neovascularisation.Fifty Sprague-Dawley rats were used in this experimental study. Two experimental groups were designed.

Choroidal Macrovessel Complicated by Choroidal Neovascularisation

American Journal of Ophthalmology
A 78-year-old woman was referred for reduced vision in her left eye. Fundus imaging (a) showed a a choroidal macrovessel extending temporally (arrow), a perifoveal circumscribed lesion (arrowhead) and a patchy atrophy (asterisk). Indocyanine green angiography (b) revealed early filling, and hyperfluorescence surrounded by a hypofluorescent halo caused ...

Photodynamic Therapy with Verteporfin for Corneal Neovascularisation

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2010
Corneal neovascularization can be a difficult problem to treat. The authors describe a patient with lipid keratopathy secondary to corneal neovascularization treated with photodynamic therapy. Six months following treatment the neovascularization has not returned and the lipid keratopathy has not increased in size.
