Engineering Microbial Particles for Next‐Generation Biomedical Platforms
Microbe‐derived particles (MDPs), which include extracellular vesicles, outer membrane vesicles, inclusion bodies, polysaccharide particles, and virus‐like particles, represent a rapidly expanding category of bioinspired nanomaterials. With their natural origin, intrinsic biocompatibility, and highly programmable functionality, MDPs serve as a ...

Gene therapy knockdown of VEGFR2 in retinal endothelial cells to treat retinopathy
Inhibition of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) raises concerns for premature infants because VEGF is essential for retinovascular development as well as neuronal and glial health.

Development of a Regenerative Peripheral Nerve Interface for Control of a Neuroprosthetic Limb [PDF]
Publisher's PDFThe purpose of this experiment was to develop a peripheral nerve interface using cultured myoblasts within a scaffold to provide a biologically stable interface while providing signal amplification for neuroprosthetic control and ...

Dynamic decellularized hydrogels are prepared using bovine decellularized small intestine submucosa (SIS) norbornene (dSIS‐NB). Bovine dSIS contained significant amounts of disulfide‐rich fibrillin‐I, enabling ‘self‐clickable’ thiol‐norbornene gelation and spatiotemporal tuning of hydrogel physicochemical properties.

Wound healing effect of Anzer origin propolis specimens on rats’ intestinal incision
This study was investigated the wound healing effect of Anzer origin propolis specimens on rats’ experimental intestinal incisions. Thirty-four male Wistar albino rats have been divided into five groups, weighing 250-300 gr.

In AKI, initial kidney injury upregulates the expression of Cav‐1, which subsequently binds to and stabilizes SERCA2 via its scaffolding domain and through deubiquitination, thereby regulating Ca2+ homeostasis and ER stress. Conversely, Cav‐1 deficiency accelerates SERCA2 degradation, triggering Ca2+ overload and ER stress, and ultimately exacerbating ...
