Microcystin-induced oxidative stress in Laeonereis acuta (Polychaeta, Nereididae) [PDF]

open access: yesMarine Environmental Research, 2008
Oxidative stress induced by microcystins was evaluated in an estuarine worm, Laeonereis acuta (Nereididae). Ten organisms were exposed to lyophilized cells of a toxic Microcystisaeruginosa strain RST9501 ( approximately 2 microg/mL microcystins, MC); 10 were exposed to lyophilized cells of a nontoxic Aphanotece sp. strain RSMan92 and 10 were maintained

NEREIDIDAE BLAINVILLE, 1818

2022
Nereididae (littoral ones often referred to as ‘ragworms’) are probably the most familiar of annelids, both from textbooks in zoology and marine biology and from their occurrence on seashores around the world. They are widely employed in teaching, in laboratory experiments, and as bait for fishing.

Nereididae (Annelida: Phyllodocida) from intertidal macroalgae in Western Australia

Zootaxa, 2023
The last extensive exploration of Nereididae diversity within coastal waters of Western Australia was done in 1975–1984. We collected Nereididae associated with macroalgae from 38 rocky intertidal shores of Western Australia (18°S to 34°S). Eighteen species belonging to seven genera are described and illustrated. Two new species, Nereis edentata n. sp.
