Wittgenstein’s Remarks on Technology and Mental Mechanisms [PDF]
This article provides a survey of Wittgenstein’s remarks in which he discusses various kinds of technology. I argue that throughout his career, his use of technological examples displays a thematic unity: technologies are invoked in order to illustrate a

NARFL Knockout Triggers Ferroptosis‐Driven Vascular Endothelial Dysfunction
NARFL is vital for CIA and oxidative stress resistance. NARFL deletion in HPMEC cells, zebrafish, and mice is lethal and rescued by a Ferroptosis inhibitor. NARFL deficiency disrupted its interaction with CIA proteins, decreased aconitase activity, increased IRP1 activity, induced Fe overload, and led to ferroptosis and oxidative stress, resulting in ...

This study demonstrates that HDAC1/2 knockout in microglia alleviates neurological deficits, preserves white matter, and accelerates hematoma clearance after ICH. HDAC1/2 inhibition reduces HK2 acetylation, shifts metabolism from glycolysis to fatty acid oxidation, reduces inflammation, and enhances phagocytosis.

Sleep Alters the Velocity of Physiological Brain Pulsations in Humans
Sleep alters I/CSF oscillatory flow, driven by increased respiratory (29%) and vasomotor pulsation (21%) velocities, while cardiovascular pulsations decreased by (22%). Velocity is quantified using optical flow analysis of MREG data. Spectral power increases alongside these pulsations (spatial correlation, r = 0.35 and r = 0.39, respectively ...

Review of Heart Rate Variability Analysis Methods in Ergonomics Studies
Introduction and aim: Electrocardiography is one of the most useful and common tools for examining heart function. In studies in the 1960s, heart rate variability (HRV) was introduced and used as a non-invasive tool to evaluate the functions of the ...
