Coprime Transformed Nested Array with Enhanced DOFs and Reduced Mutual Coupling Based on the Difference and Sum Coarray

open access: yes, 2022
Recently, the concept of the difference and sum coarray has attracted increasing interest in the direction of the arrival estimation field because it can generate enhanced degrees of freedom. In this paper, we propose an improved transformed nested array

Consensus Formation and Change are Enhanced by Neutrality

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Neutral agents are shown to enhance both the formation and overturning of consensus in collective decision‐making. A general mathematical model and experiments with locusts and humans reveal that neutrality enables robust consensus via simple interactions and accelerates consensus change by reducing effective population size.

Improved CPD based DOA estimation of nested array

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2021
In order to avoid searching the peak value in space domain, when estimating nested array’s the direction of direction of arrival(DOA), the canonical polyadic decomposition(CPD) was applied into the nested array, namely using the one time singular value ...

Flexible Extended Nested Array with Multiple Subarrays Achieving Improved Degrees of Freedom [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes a new extended nested array geometry with enhanced degrees of freedom (DOF) and a hole-free difference co-array. The proposed flexible extended nested with multiple subarrays (f-ENAMS) configuration is constructed by splitting the ...

Two Routes to Land: Genomic Underpinnings of Parallel Aerial Egg Deposition in Aquatic Old‐World Pila and New‐World Pomacea (Ampullariidae)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Comparative genomics of Gondwana‐diverged Pila and Pomacea reveals parallel evolution of aerial oviposition. Convergent chromosomal rearrangements reshape regulatory landscapes within topologically associating domains. Lineage‐specific gene family expansions and viral‐derived perivitelline proteins (PV1) underpin desiccation resistance.

A Unified Array Geometry Composed of Multiple Identical Subarrays With Hole-Free Difference Coarrays for Underdetermined DOA Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, we propose a unified array geometry, dubbed generalized nested subarray (GNSA), for the underdetermined direction-of-arrival estimation.

Introgressed Variation in TaMYB7‐A1 Drives Graded Dormancy and Climate‐Adaptive Pre‐Harvest Sprouting Resistance in Wheat

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TaMYB7‐A1 directly activates TaABI5 to enhance ABA signaling and regulate ABA‐GA homeostasis, enforcing seed dormancy. Its superior allele, derived from wild einkorn introgression, harbors a MITE insertion that elevates expression and two amino acid substitutions that enhance transcriptional activity, collectively generating graded PHS resistance for ...

A Multiscale Sparse Array of Spatially Spread Electromagnetic-Vector-Sensors for Direction Finding and Polarization Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a multiscale sparse array, which is composed of spatially-spread electromagnetic-vector-sensors (SS-EMVSs), is proposed to estimate the direction-of-arrivals (DOA) and polarizations of multiple sources.

A High‐Throughput Live Imaging Platform to Investigate Circuit‐Dependent Regulation of Circadian Rhythms in Brain Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biological rhythms coordinate physiology, from genes to behavior. Study of circadian rhythms in brain tissue is constrained by limited throughput and spatial and temporal information quality. A new platform for high‐throughput, long‐term multiplexed fluorescent live imaging of circadian rhythms in brain slices is introduced.
