Phase Diagram for Charge Density Waves in a Magnetic Field [PDF]
The influence of an external magnetic field on a quasi one-dimensional system with a charge density wave (CDW) instability is treated within the random phase approximation which includes both CDW and spin density wave correlations.

An example of a supersymmetric model involving two interacting chiral superfields is presented here which allows for solutions describing stringlike "domain ribbon" defects embedded within a domain wall. It is energetically favorable for the fermions within the wall to populate the domain ribbons, and an explicit solution is found for the fermion zero

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Comparative analysis of chloroplast genomes from 14 genera of Thymelaeaceae revealed variation in gene content, ranging from 128 to 142 genes, primarily influenced by IR expansion/contraction events and pseudogenization of ndhF, ndhI, and ndhG. Two large inversions were detected within the large single‐copy region, including a synapomorphic inversion ...

Loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) nest predation at Cape Range National Park [PDF]
Most of the existing sea turtle populations worldwide are in decline. In particular, loggerhead turtles (Caretta caretta) are listed as endangered and loggerhead nesting populations in Eastern Australia have declined by 86% since the 1970s.

Late Summer-Fall Solitary Wasp Fauna of Central New York (Hymenoptera: Tiphiidae, Pompilidae, Sphecidae) [PDF]
Eighty-one species of primarily ground-nesting solitary wasps belonging to the families Tiphiidae, Pompilidae and Sphecidae were observed, collected and identified from six sandy and gravelly study areas in Cayuga and Onondaga Counties, New York.

ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...

Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.
