Gold‐Dithiocarbamato Glycoconjugates as Potential Anticancer Agents: Design, Physico‐Chemical Characterization and In Vitro Biological Activity

open access: yesChemBioChem, Accepted Article.
In order to develop new metal‐based glycoconjugates as potential anticancer agents, three gold(III)‐dithiocarbamato glycoconjugates of the type [AuIIIBr2(SSC‐Inp‐GlcN)] (Au3‐5), their gold(I)‐phosphine counterparts [AuI(SSC‐Inp‐GlcN)(PPh3)] (AuP3‐5) and gold(I)‐carbene analogues [AuI(SSC‐Inp‐GlcN)(Et2BzImy)] (AuC3‐5) (Inp: isonipecotic moiety; GlcN ...

Tunable Morphologies of Fe‐Embedded Cr‐MOF Derived Catalyst for Efficient CO2 Hydrogenation

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
A Cr‐Fe core‐shell catalyst can be synthesized by controlled thermal treatment of MIL‐101(Cr) encapsulated Fe. ReaxFF MD reveals the temperature‐controlled pathway and the atomistic mechanisms of thermal transformation. Experiments show a five‐fold increase in aqueous CO2 to‐methanol hydrogenation yield compared to a similar catalyst without core‐shell

Metal Hydroxide Organic Frameworks (MHOFs) for Oxygen Evolution by Intercalation of Dicarboxylate Linkers Into β‐Ni(OH)2: Impact of Host Crystallinity

open access: yesChemCatChem, EarlyView.
Crystallinity of Ni2+‐based MHOFs as effective catalysts for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is independent from that of their β‐Ni(OH)2 precursor, since intercalation of dicarboxylate organic linkers removes stacking faults disorder (totally or partially).

Synchronization of Emerging Materials and their Synthetic Strategies for Efficient Alkaline Water Splitting

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
A review of the synchronization of emerging nanomaterials and synthesis strategies is presented. Strategic hybridization of emerging nanomaterials modulating the physicochemical properties of the developed heterostructured electrocatalysts for efficient oxygen evolution reactions, as well as the hydrogen evolution reactions is thoroughly discussed ...

Cathode Materials for Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells: From Metal and Metal Composite Catalysts to Carbon‐Supported Hybrids in Oxygen Reduction Reaction

open access: yesChemElectroChem, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent progress in the development of electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Particular focus is given to structure–activity relationships, active site identification, and the role of noble and non‐noble metals, with insights into synthetic strategies and performance in

Linking Transition Metal Molybdate Formation to Polyoxometalate and Chloride Complex Speciation: An In Situ X‐Ray Total Scattering Study

open access: yesChemistryEurope, EarlyView.
GA: Hydrothermal formation pathways of metal molybdates (MMoO4; M = Fe, Co, Ni) are studied to pave the way for tailored oxide synthesis. Based on in situ X‐ray total scattering results, the pH dependency of emerging products is attributed to polyoxometalate chemistry and 3d metal complex speciation, while ruling out heteropolyoxometalate involvement ...
