Clickable Pyclen‐Based Luminescent Lanthanide Complexes: Application to Two‐Photon Microscopy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
This work presents two pyclen‐based lanthanide complexes (Eu3+ and Sm3+) bearing an alkynyl‐linker dedicated to bioconjugation. Featuring strong luminescence and two‐photon (2P) absorption, they were conjugated to a cell‐penetrating peptide thanks to copper‐catalyzed azide‐alkyne cycloaddition. The resulting luminescent conjugates reach efficiently the

Optimizing Polyoxometalate Electrodes for Energy Storage via Cation Design and Thermal Activation

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
The stability and electrochemical performance of Keggin‐type polyoxometalate‐based electrodes for energy storage are strongly influenced by the hydrophobicity of organic cations and enhanced through the thermal activation of the solid structures containing long alkyl chains.

Tuning the Growth Pattern of Triangular Silver Nanoplates from Lateral to Vertical by Secondary Metal Addition

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 26, Issue 6, March 15, 2025.
What happens, if in the synthesis of flat silver platelets, the slow deposition of silver along twinning faults is disturbed by the addition of a nobler metal? We have looked into it and found a way to fine‐tune the metal deposition in lateral and vertical direction.

Tuning the Fe‐Oxide Nanoparticle Properties by Playing with Salt Precursors and Camellia sinensis Extract Concentrations

open access: yesChemPhysChem, EarlyView.
Functionalized iron‐oxide nanoparticles exhibiting distinct physical characteristics (particle size and magnetic anisotropy) were successfully biosynthesized by modulating the precursor salts and using two different chemical synthesis pathways. By varying salt precursors and precipitating agents, polyphenol‐functionalized γ‐Fe2O3 nanoparticles (NPs ...

Proposal of Molecular‐Level Crystallization Mechanism for Halogenated Benzyl Alcohols: A Study of Isostructural Crystals

open access: yesChemPlusChem, EarlyView.
Proposals for crystallization mechanisms for halogenated benzyl alcohols at the molecular level show that strong interactions such as OH···O and π···π initiate the crystallization process, although weak interactions (CH···X, CH···C, and X···X) are crucial for stabilizing crystal packing.
