Abstract The 14C:C ratio in atmospheric CO2 (expressed as Δ14C) is a powerful tracer of Earth system carbon cycle processes. In the 21st century, spatio‐temporal variations of atmospheric Δ14C are mainly the result of anthropogenic fossil CO2 emissions, but the oceans and terrestrial biosphere also exert significant influence on its variations. Here we

Ectopic expression of Tin induces NetB ectopic expressions in vivo.
In a wild-type background, staining for NetB protein (magenta), displays little or no NetB expression in the Engrailed stripes (A and A’). However, in an engrailed-Gal4>UAS-tin background, NetB is strongly induced in Engrailed stripes which now ...

Blocking Apoptotic Signaling Rescues Axon Guidance in Netrin Mutants
Netrins are guidance cues that form gradients to guide growing axons. We uncover a mechanism for axon guidance by demonstrating that axons can accurately navigate in the absence of a Netrin gradient if apoptotic signaling is blocked.

This review explores deconvolution techniques in optical coherence tomography (OCT), addressing resolution degradation from point‐spread functions (PSF). It reviews foundational principles (e.g., Richardson‐Lucy deconvolution) to advanced AI‐driven methods, emphasizing clinical translation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Real‐world implementations

Control of male and female fertility by the netrin axon guidance genes. [PDF]
The netrin axon guidance genes have previously been implicated in fertility in C. elegans and in vertebrates. Here we show that adult Drosophila lacking both netrin genes, NetA and NetB, have fertility defects in both sexes together with an inability to ...

Genomic adaptation of Clostridium perfringens to human intestine
This study performed genomic analysis on Clostridium perfringens from humans in China. There are regional and transregional transmissions of C. perfringens among individuals. cpe was first identified on a pCW3‐like and pCP13‐like fusion plasmid. Genomic characteristics of C. perfringens are associated with host species. Abstract Clostridium perfringens

Coarse Sand Transport Processes in the Ripple Vortex Regime Under Asymmetric Nearshore Waves
Abstract Large‐scale wave flume experiments are conducted in the ripple vortex regime to study near bed coarse sand transport processes below asymmetric surface waves typical of the coastal nearshore region. For this purpose, a set of complementary acoustic instruments were deployed under regular nearshore wave conditions.

Tin binds directly to NetB-M enhancer element.
(A) ChIP analysis of the NetB-M genomic loci in S2R+ cells transfected with pAct5C-GFP-tinman. The precipitated DNA fragments were amplified by real-time qPCR using overlapping primers (R1-R20) designed over the genomic region covering the NetB-M ...
