Network coded cooperation in delay tolerant networks
Implementation of network coding (NC) is expanding to a diverse set of networks due to the flexible design provided through its use, enabling a trade-off between robustness and spectral efficiency. In this paper, we investigate the application of NC in delay tolerant networks (DTN) through the use of software defined radio (SDR) nodes.

On the throughput and energy benefits of network coded cooperation [PDF]
Cooperative techniques in wireless mobile networks typically leverage short-range communication technologies, e.g., WiFi, to allow data exchange between devices forming a mobile cloud. These mobile clouds have been considered as a key to reduce the cost of multicast services for the network operators as well as a means to deliver a better quality to ...

Network Coding Techniques in Cooperative Cognitive Networks [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate transmission techniques for a fundamental cooperative cognitive radio network, i.e., a radio system where a Secondary user may act as relay for messages sent by the Primary user, hence offering performance improvement of Primary user transmissions, while at the same time obtaining more transmission opportunities for its ...

Outage analysis of superposition modulation aided network coded cooperation in the presence of network coding noise [PDF]
We consider a network, where multiple sourcedestination pairs communicate with the aid of a half-duplex relay node (RN), which adopts decode-forward (DF) relaying and superposition-modulation (SPM) for combining the signals transmitted by the source ...

Generalized Network-Coded Cooperation in OFDMA Communications
Cooperative communication is a well-established technique to obtain diversity and consequently combat the fading inherent to the wireless channel. In a recent work, network-coded cooperation (NCC) along with graph theory-aided subcarrier allocation was ...
