Network coded cooperation in delay tolerant networks
Implementation of network coding (NC) is expanding to a diverse set of networks due to the flexible design provided through its use, enabling a trade-off between robustness and spectral efficiency. In this paper, we investigate the application of NC in delay tolerant networks (DTN) through the use of software defined radio (SDR) nodes.

Delay Reduction in Multi-Hop Device-to-Device Communication using Network Coding [PDF]
This paper considers the problem of reducing the broadcast decoding delay of wireless networks using instantly decodable network coding (IDNC) based device-to-device (D2D) communications. In a D2D configuration, devices in the network can help hasten the

Fundamental Limits of Caching [PDF]
Caching is a technique to reduce peak traffic rates by prefetching popular content into memories at the end users. Conventionally, these memories are used to deliver requested content in part from a locally cached copy rather than through the network ...

LLR-based coded performance analysis of cognitive dual-hop BICM systems
In this work, we analyze the performance of a cooperative two-hop cognitive relaying system using the “detect-and-forward” strategy. The cooperation between secondary users, in the underlay spectrum sharing mode, is under an interference constraint ...

Coded Caching for Broadcast Networks with User Cooperation
Caching technique is a promising approach to reduce the heavy traffic load and improve user latency experience for the Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, by exploiting edge cache resources and communication opportunities in device-to-device (D2D) networks and broadcast networks, two novel coded caching schemes are proposed that greatly reduce ...

Centralized Coded Caching with User Cooperation
In this paper, we consider the coded-caching broadcast network with user cooperation, where a server connects with multiple users and the users can cooperate with each other through a cooperation network.
