The neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) is a cell-surface glycoprotein that mediates cell-cell interactions in the nervous system during development. In the present study, we demonstrate that NCAM is axonally transported in 3-d-old chick retinal ganglion cells and that it travels within the fast component of axonal transport (FC).

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.
