Heat Shock Protein 90: From Molecular Chaperone Function to Therapeutic Targeting in Malignancies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this review, an integrated conceptual framework linking HSP90's molecular chaperone functions to its pathological roles in cancer is proposed. HSP90 serves as a central node that integrates oncogenic signaling, buffers proteotoxic stress, maintains cancer stem cell plasticity, and shapes tumor‐immune interactions, all of which converge to drive ...

Complications after medullary thyroid carcinoma surgery: multicentre study of the SQRTPA and EUROCRINE® databases

open access: yesBJS (British Journal of Surgery), EarlyView., 2020
This study investigated postoperative complications after surgery for medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) in Europe. Hypoparathyroidism, recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy and bleeding requiring reoperation occurred in 170 (26·2 per cent), 62 (13·7 per cent) and 17 (2·6 per cent) patients respectively.

Treatment modalities favoring outcome in well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors G3

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
IntroductionNeuroendocrine neoplasms (NEN) are a rare and heterogenous group of tumors arising from neuroendocrine cells in multiple organs. Neuroendocrine tumors (NET) G3 encompass a small subgroup accounting for less than 10% of all neuroendocrine ...

Primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor: A rare entity

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2020
Liver is the most common site for neuroendocrine metastasis. However, primary neuroendocrine tumor is a rare focal hepatic lesion with a better prognosis than hepatocellular carcinoma and other malignant hepatic lesions.

CCT2 Promotes Prostate Cancer Progression Through EIF3F‐Dependent Stabilization of FASN

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Prostate cancer (PCa) is increasingly recognized to be driven by dysregulated lipid metabolism. Although fatty acid synthase (FASN) is highly expressed in PCa, the mechanisms governing FASN protein stability and its functional integration into oncogenic lipid metabolism remain poorly defined.

Cholesterol‐Mediated Metabolic‐mechanotransductive Crosstalk Orchestrates Castration Resistance in Prostate Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Full androgen deprivation (FAD) induces paracrine cholesterol in prostate cancer that drives the polarization of cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and subsequent elevated matrix stiffness. Matrix stiffness in turn potentiates tumor cell survival under FAD pressure via dual mechanotransductive activation of the IRE1α‐XBP1s stress‐response axis ...

Multicomponent Stapling of Glucagon‐Like Peptide‐1 Enables Receptor‐Guided PROTAC Delivery

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a stapled glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1) analogue created via multicomponent tryptophan‐mediated Petasis reaction (TMPR). This strategy yields a stabilised peptide with superior helicity and improved potency. Conjugation to a bromodomain‐containing protein 4 (BRD4) degrader creates the first GLP‐1‐guided targeted protein degrader (PROTAC ...

Small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma with adenocarcinoma and high grade squamous intraepithelial neoplasia of the cervix

open access: yesAutopsy and Case Reports, 2023
Neuroendocrine neoplasm (NEN) of the cervix is a malignant tumor and is classified into low and intermediate-grade neuroendocrine tumor (NET), and high-grade small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (SCNEC), and large cells neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC ...
